Bev Durston is an award-winning and highly respected investment professional with over 30 years of global financial services experience.

She managed institutional monies for over 20 years for Governments (Australia, Singapore and Queensland), superannuation funds (Sunsuper and British Airways Pension Plans); as well as being head of risk for a large Australian fund manager (BT / Pendal).

In 2013, she founded a boutique institutional alternatives business, Edgehaven, which advised on a broad range of alternative assets for UK and Australian clients. Bev sourced, structured and implemented over US$4bn of investments across a broad range of alternative assets (private debt, real assets, hedge funds, real estate and infrastructure) with an excellent, risk-adjusted track record.

From late 2024, Bev is focusing on her NED governance career, with director roles in an Australian superannuation fund and an Asian-based capital structure hedge fund. She also runs one of the first ever undergraduate courses in Private Credit at UNSW.

Bev relishes her global perspective having worked in Australia, Singapore and the UK.  She has experience working within defined contribution, defined benefit fund and absolute return funds.

She has a first-class Banking and International Finance degree from Bayes Business school in London, a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, Sydney and professional Trustee, Governance and Director qualifications from the UK and Australia.
