Jill Monaghan is a senior executive with over 25 years of experience spanning investment management, financial markets and public sector balance sheet leadership across Australia and the United States.

She brings a rare combination of commercial, governance and investment expertise built across institutions including Suncorp, NSW Treasury, Barclays Bank and Prudential Financial.

Most recently, Jill served as executive general manager and chief investment officer at Suncorp Group, with full accountability for the $20 billion multi-manager investment portfolios across Australia and New Zealand.

Previously, she led NSW Treasury’s newly-established balance sheet division and contributed to the creation of the NSW Generations Fund, a $10 billion sovereign wealth fund. Earlier, she spent nearly a decade at Barclays Bank, where she rose to managing director and head of macro ANZ, having begun her career as an investment analyst at Prudential Financial.

Jill currently serves as a non-executive director at Southpeak Investment Management and as an independent member of the investment advisory committee at NSW Trustee & Guardian.

She holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical French Horn Performance from Rutgers University.
