Daniel founded Painter Lane in 2025 following more than two decades experience in financial markets, across the US, Australia and the UK.

Painter Lane’s core objective is to provide low friction dexterity to private capital portfolio management. The team comes from a diverse background including portfolio construction, asset allocation, asset management, quantitative analysis, solution implementation, and equity financing.

Prior to founding Painter Lane, Daniel advised institutional equity investors across North America, UK/Europe and Australia, also working with listed and private corporate clients. Daniel was responsible for domestic teams and those in HK, Singapore, London and New York.

In addition to nineteen years with Macquarie Group (Senior Managing Director – MacCap), Daniel worked in global macro, rates and commodities across of number of institutions.

Daniel earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Macquarie University. He is a Chartered Accountant and member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand. He currently serves on the board of directors of GI Cancer Trials and Opsync Pty Ltd.
