Sulata joined Equifax in January 2022 as the head of security advisory & risk for A/NZ & emerging markets. With over 20 years’ experience, Sulata has delivered cyber security services across multiple industries including financial services, telecommunications, oil & gas and the legal sector from a variety of locations including Australia, Asia, the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Throughout her career, Sulata has worked with organisations to minimise risk by transforming their cyber security control environments, enabling them to better deal with the rapidly changing threat landscape and apply a more balanced approach to cyber risk management. Drawing on her depth of experience in cybersecurity, risk, privacy and audit, Sulata advocates security through simplicity and robust cyber governance frameworks and transparency.

Externally, Sulata is a strong advocate for women in security and is passionate about nurturing and mentoring the next generation of female cyber talent. She also actively participates in industry forums such as the Australian Government’s Joint Cyber Security Centre (JCSC) and the Australian Women in Security Network (AWSN).
