Scott Taylor
Chief Operating Officer,
AlphaCert
Scott began his career in management consulting, where he led development teams on telecommunications projects for Vodafone. He also spent time in the UK, where he developed an engagement database for the Mayor of London.
In 2008, during the global financial crisis, Scott transitioned into the finance sector, joining FlexiGroup (now humm) as head of operations in New Zealand. Over seven years, he was responsible for finance, HR, IT, and sales teams.
In 2015, Scott was appointed CEO of Vircom, then New Zealand’s largest independent provider of electrical field services. His mandate was to strengthen systems and capability and position the company for sale — a process that was successfully completed with the acquisition by Vector, New Zealand’s largest electricity network company.
Scott has also held governance roles with Private Flight Global, a Swiss-based technology start-up providing online catering services for private aviation, and with Wells Electrical, now New Zealand’s largest provider of electrical field services.
Currently, Scott is COO at AlphaCert and a member of its growth advisory board. Since 2019, he has been applying his skills within the investment management industry, supporting AlphaCert’s mission to deliver technology solutions that drive efficiency and value for clients.
