Nicle Yang is an investment data governance specialist with over 18 years’ experience across superannuation, fund management, and life insurance.

Throughout her career, Nicle has partnered closely with public and private markets investment teams, as well as operations, analytics, and technology functions, to bridge business objectives with data and technology capabilities. Her experience spans data governance frameworks, data quality and lineage, ownership and controls, and the practical challenges of operationalising data‑driven initiatives in less standardised asset classes such as private markets.

As investment data governance manager at Aware Super, Nicle is responsible for establishing and embedding governance frameworks across the investments data domain. As panel host, she brings a balanced and pragmatic perspective to discussions on AI in private markets—focusing on real‑world use cases, data readiness, risk and control considerations, and the steps required to move from experimentation to sustainable value.
