James joined Insignia Financial Limited as head of responsible investment in 2022. Previously he was head of ESG at Ellerston Capital, a Sydney-based listed equity-focused investment boutique.

In 2019 Ellerston Capital purchased ethical investment boutique Morphic Asset Management, where James had been responsible for all aspects of responsible investment alongside managing global equity investments.

Prior to emigrating to Australia in 2016, James held a variety of investment management roles in London, UK, and Zurich, Switzerland; representing a 20-year career in listed equity investment primarily including security analysis and portfolio management responsibilities.
