Regional Head of Private Capital APAC,
BNP Paribas Securities Services

Cleyde Hazell has been back with BNP Paribas since May 2016 and is the APAC regional head of private capital within the alternatives client line for BNP Paribas Securities Services.

From a leadership perspective Cleyde is the figurehead for the development and implementation of product and solutions for private capital for the APAC region and accountable for the overall management of the alternatives functional areas across client delivery including strategic production management.

Cleyde has over 25 years of experience in the banking, financing and management industries, the last 18 years working in the Australian financial services industry with predominantly leadership roles at the Commonwealth Custodial Services managing the sub-custody and securities lending teams.

In 2004, she worked with BNP Paribas Securities Services as head of the equities and unlisted unit trust operations teams. From May 2010, Cleyde worked at J.P. Morgan as the head of alternative investment operations in Sydney responsible for private equity and real estate fund administration, managed funds, transfer agency, and OTC Derivatives including leading the operations teams across APAC.

Cleyde is a director of the Australian Custodial Services Association (ACSA). She has studied bachelor’s of law in Brazil and human resources management.

Cleyde’s other passions are about the community within our organization, including our corporate social responsibility program and the ESG agenda from the BNP Paribas group, and is keen to ensure its future.
