Global Head of Operations,
First Sentier Investors

Chris has been responsible for leading the global operations function since January 2018, ensuring that FSI operations are reliable, scalable, cost-effective and efficient at a global level. This includes management of the investment operations, fund operations, performance reporting, projects & change and global supplier management based across Australia, Asia, UK and USA.

Previously, Chris held the role of head of investment business management within CFSGAM for seven years, responsible for managing all interactions with front office support functions and external vendors who interact, service and support the 16  front office Investment teams across First Sentier. This included all vendors related to order management systems, execution management systems, market research platforms, index providers and market data sources, as well as internal functions of risk, operations, IT, legal, product and distribution.

Prior to working with First Sentier, Chris had over 10 years working in the funds management industry with UBS Global Asset Management and Invesco, and consulting roles in asset management, risk and IT.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and a post Graduate degree in Commerce (Financial Management) from the University of Cape Town.
