Andrew Arthur

Andrew is a director of investment risk within the asset allocation team at AustralianSuper. He is responsible for providing an investment risk lens to active investment decisions made within the asset allocation function, as well as supporting research, risk monitoring, and performance reporting within the team.
He began his career as an actuarial analyst at Towers Perrin in Sydney, calculating defined benefit pension liabilities before working with Northern Trust and Morgan Stanley in London.
Since then, Andrew’s career has been focused on investment risk within the asset management space; with five years as investment risk manager within the index equity function at Vanguard Australia and 10 years at Schroders, with the last five as head of investment risk for the Americas, based in New York.
Andrew holds both chartered financial analyst (CFA) and professional risk manager (PRM) designations.
